Who we are

DitR is the design and branding brainchild of me, Em Rowe. Born and raised in Central PA, I’m all about this commonwealth and the amazing things it has to offer. My goal is to promote an ethos of responsibly-sourced, locally-made wears and wares (but mostly wears) representing and related to this great state.

My thrifting story: I started thrifting as a teenager and have always loved the feeling of finding that perfect item. Unlike retail shopping, thrifting is like a treasure hunt. I took my love of thrifting and turned it into a business of sorts, selling cool vintage and throwback thrifted items online. As I’ve developed my store, I realized how many blank canvases there are in any given thrift shop on any given day.

My brother, Shane, is an artist based in Pittsburgh, PA who draws under the moniker Old Heads. It dawned on me that we could really have something special in a family-run collaboration. Not only did he design the company logo (which is very cool, in my opinion), but we plan to feature his artwork in small-batch patches on denim items in our Pennsylvania Tuxedo line on a rotating basis.
